    Aim of the subject

    The goal of the subject is to gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills of working in MS Windows and with applications of MS Office. After completing the course you will be able to work actively with texts, tables, charts, lists and presentations. Acquired knowledge will be useful in other subjects (writing seminar works, bachelor and diploma thesis...).

    Credit conditions:

    • successful completion of two tests,
    • seminar work: presentation created in MS PowerPoint (10-12) slides - any theme from field of Information and communication technologies - submitted in electronic form.

  • LECTURE 1

    Architecture of PC

    Short summary:pc

    - computer characteristic, term "personal computer", Von Neumann computer scheme, microcomputer, microprocessor - short history development

    - architecture of personal computers - motherboard, buses, BIOS, processor, computer memory, peripherals,

    - basic conceptions of processors, microprocessor communication with the outside, PC interface, computer memory, input-output devices,

    - software and it's classification.

     

    EXERCISE 1

    Initial exercise - familiarize students with the contents of the subject, credit conditions, continuous tests, form of exam, orientation on the school web pages, operation system Windows.
